This policy explains how BudaFeast handles information on budafeast.com. BudaFeast is an independent Budapest restaurant guide and offers direct business advertising. It does not book restaurant tables or meals and does not operate the external businesses it links to.
Information we process
Hosting servers and security systems may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and server requests for operation, security and troubleshooting. This does not mean that marketing analytics are enabled. If you contact us, we receive the contact details and message you provide.
External services
Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, Facebook and restaurant websites lead to services with their own terms and privacy policies. WhatsApp links may include suggested introductory text identifying BudaFeast as the source. You decide whether to send the message. External images, where used, require your browser to contact their hosting servers.
Cookies and measurement
Local storage saves currency and accessibility preferences. Cookies may be needed for login, security and the order process. Google Analytics and marketing pixels are not currently enabled. Search Console verifies the site and provides Google Search performance reports; it does not measure all visits to this website. See the cookie policy.
Advertising orders and payment
We store the business name, advertisement title and description, image, destination link, contact name, telephone, email, selected language and advertising package that you submit. We also retain order status, advertising dates, acceptance of terms and transaction verification details. These are used to review the advertisement, process payment, issue documents, publish the advertisement and respond to enquiries. The advertising content becomes public only after administrator approval.
Card payment is handled by Takbull. Card numbers and security codes are not entered or stored on our website. Required order information is sent to payment, receipt and email providers to deliver the service. The payment provider sends the receipt separately; the site sends its approval email after the advertisement is approved, in the language selected during the order.
Retention and use
Transaction and accounting records are retained for documentation and applicable business obligations. Expiry stops the advertisement from displaying but does not automatically delete its order record. Contact messages are used to answer enquiries, correct information and handle accessibility issues. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Direct advertising statistics
Impressions and clicks are aggregated by advertisement, date and placement. This system does not use tracking cookies, store IP addresses or create a persistent visitor identifier. A random per-page-load key prevents duplicate counting; temporary key records are scheduled for removal after 48 hours through site maintenance. Aggregate counters remain for reports. Counts are not unique people or business enquiries, may include repeat views and may be incomplete. Advertisers cannot identify visitors from these reports. This is separate from Google tools and from server security logging.
Location and maps
Near me requests browser location permission to sort restaurants by distance. You can decline and continue using ordinary search. The site's code uses this location in your browser and does not send it to the site's server. Loading OpenStreetMap tiles contacts the map provider, which may receive technical information including your IP address.
Your choices and requests
Providing advertising order information is voluntary, but we cannot process an order without the required details. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information in accordance with applicable law. Identity verification may be required. Records that must be retained by law may not be deleted.
Accuracy of restaurant information
Menus, prices, hours, kosher status, availability, addresses and external links may change. Check important details with the restaurant before visiting or ordering.
